- Do I need a building permit for work done on a manufactured home?
No building permit is required for work on your manufactured home or inside the manufactured home. However a permit is required for accessory structures outside the manufactured home; i.e. decks, sheds, fences, swimming pools, etc. A placement permit is also required for each manufactured home that is moved onto a lot in a manufactured home park.
- Can I put a manufactured home on a lot outside of a manufactured home park?
Manufactured homes used for dwelling purposes are only allowed to be placed in a manufactured home park or manufactured home subdivision or for a caretakers quarters as an accessory use to a park or game preserve. Manufactured homes may be used as a temporary office on a lot as long as the structure is UBC approved.
