In 2009, the City of Sioux Falls intends to reconstruct and widen Southeastern Avenue from 18th Street to 26th Street.

The Southeastern Avenue Corridor is a main arterial from the connecting the southeast part of the City to the Downtown Area via River Boulevard and 14th Street. This corridor continues to play a vital role in the daily commute for thousands of citizens. This corridor runs parallel to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail Authority and is a link to the Sioux Falls Recreation trail.
