The City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is accepting proposals from qualified firms for the following professional engineering design services.

BENSON ROAD: INTERSTATE 29 TO CAREER AVENUE

The City of Sioux Falls has received a petition from adjacent property owners to construct of Benson Road from Interstate 29 to Career Avenue. The Sioux Falls Capital Improvements Program Committee and the Sioux Falls City Council have recommended this project be designed and constructed in the 2009 construction year, pending available funding.

The City intends to design and construct a four-lane, asphalt section on Benson Road from Interstate 29 to Career Avenue. The section will also contain a center median and right turn lanes. This street exists today as a two-lane rural section with approximately 2,000 vehicles per day. The 2025 traffic forecasts are approximately 15,000 vehicles per day.
