Sioux Falls has been a leader in the development of urban trail systems. The greenway trail, developed in the 1970's, was a pioneer of the trails movement. Now, 30 years later, the greenway remains one of Sioux Falls' defining features.

But did you know that Sioux Falls also has a supplemental network of bicycle trails throughout the city that connect neighborhoods to the greenway? As the City grows, it becomes increasingly important to identify future trails and corridors.

To address these emerging recreation and transportation needs, the City of Sioux Falls completed a Bicycle Master Plan. This program details the recommendations made to that master plan.
