CommUnity Youth Mosaic

When a Hawthorne Elementary 5th grader noticed the Sculpture Walk in downtown Sioux Falls was void of student artwork, an idea was born! Hawthorne students designed a 100 foot-long mosaic that now graces the wall along the Big Sioux River at 9th Street and 2nd Avenue. Watch how this colorful idea became a reality.

Join us for the unveiling of Phase 2 of the CommUnity Youth Mosaic wall. This 100-foot-long tile section was designed by Sioux Falls middle school students. It is an addition to an existing tile project completed last year by students from Hawthorne Elementary.
