When a Hawthorne Elementary 5th grader noticed the Sculpture Walk in downtown Sioux Falls was void of student artwork, an idea was born! Hawthorne students designed a 100 foot-long mosaic that now graces the wall along the Big Sioux River at 9th Street and 2nd Avenue. Watch how this colorful idea became a reality.
