To reach Animal Control, call Metro Communications at the non-emergency number 367-7000 during or after normal business hours.
All requests for animal licensing, animal control questions or information on renting animal traps should be directed to the Police Departments information desk by calling 367-7212 or stopping by at 320 West 4th Street.
Animal Control is separate from the Humane Society & Second Chance Rescue Center. Second Chance houses animals picked up within the city. Second Chance will hold animals without ID for (3) 24-hr periods, and (5) 24-hr periods with ID, not including Sundays & holidays. Afterwards, those animals become the property of the Second Chance Rescue Center. |
