Gerald was elected to his first term in April 2002 and re-elected in April of 2006. He represents the Southeast District of Sioux Falls. He currently serves on the Finance Committee and Metro Communications. He has served on the Urban Development Planning Committee and the Regional Medical Service Committee. He is the President and C.E.O. of the Center for Active Generations.
He and his wife Brenda, have a son and daughter-in-law, Geoff and Jenny, grandson Alec, and a daughter Angie. He is active at Our Saviors Lutheran where he is on the Church Council, member of Rotary, and Junior Achievement. He has been involved in Boy Scouts, where he is an Eagle Scout, United Way, and a past Governor of Sertoma. |
