Kenny Anderson - Northeast District
Click for Introduction Video | Kenny Anderson Jr. is a native of South Dakota who grew up in the north end of Sioux Falls. Kenny Attended Hawthorne Elementary, Axtell Park Middle School, and spent one year at Washington High School before serving in the U.S Marines in 1976 to 1980. Kenny graduated from National American University in 1998 with a degree in PC support and general science.
With a strong interest in local government, Kenny chose to enter public service and ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Sioux Falls City Council in April of 2006. “Sharing my father’s love of the community I felt driven to community service” he said.
Ken has been active in several community organizations such as: Sioux Falls NAACP, Sioux Falls People for Youth, Sioux Falls Community Foundation Grant Committee, Sioux Falls Tomorrow II, Sioux Falls Schools Diversity Committee, and the Sioux Falls Slow Pitch Softball Association.
With encouragement from friends and family, Kenny again chose to enter public service by running a successful campaign for the Sioux Falls City Council Northeast District in April of 2008.
Kenny is employed by the Canadian Pacific Railroad as a crew caller.
Mr. Anderson is single with family, mother (Muriel), 4 sisters, 9 nieces and nephews, and 4 great-nieces and nephews. |
