Basic Firefighter Qualifications

• No prior experience necessary.
• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Must be a nonsmoker.
• Vision must be correctable to at least 20/30 in each eye.
• Must be not less than 21 years of age at the time of application.
• Must possess or be able to obtain, prior to hire, a valid driver's license.
• Must possess Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and provide proof of certification at the time of the entrance written exam.
