On December 3, 2005, the Zip Feed tower in downtown Sioux Falls was scheduled for demolition.
A planned explosion was to bring the tower down on its side, however, the implosion did not go as planned and the tower only dropped 20-30 feet and leaned eastward. It took 2 weeks to complete the project after a crane and wrecking ball were brought in the finish knocking it down piece by piece.
