Sioux Falls Planning Commission

The City of Sioux Falls Planning Commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council. It shall be the function and duty of the Planning Commission to make and adopt a master plan for the physical development of the municipality. It is the responsibility of the Planning Commission to consider and make recommendations on land use and zoning matters.

The Master Plan was adopted by the Planning Commission in the Fall of 2002 and by City Council in January of 2003. The Planning Commission is currently implementing the 2015 Growth Management Plan.

Regular Planning Commission public meetings are held at Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West Tenth Street, at 7:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. These meetings are televised on CityLink Cable Channel 16.
