Public Parking Advisory Board

The Public Parking Advisory Board (PPAB) was established by City Ordinance, Chapter 40, Section 40-256, in 1973. The PPAB is comprised of seven members. Each member shall be a property owner in the downtown business district (defined in City Ordinance, Chapter 39, Section 39-135).

  • Board members are appointed by the Mayor.
  • The members of the PPAB shall serve for five years with staggered terms or until their successors are appointed.
  • The PPAB shall elect from its members a president, vice-president, and a secretary; each of whom shall serve for the term of one year or until their successor is elected.
  • Four members present shall constitute a quorum for conducting official business.
  • Members of the PPAB shall serve without compensation.
  • In matters concerning ethics and conflict of interest, Ordinance No. 88-95 shall be followed.
  • The PPAB shall hold meetings as necessary.
