Request for Art Placement on City Park Property

• Requests for placement of artwork on City park property need to be submitted by completing a "Public Art Donation Form" available at the Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Administrative Office or the City of Sioux Falls website.
  
  
• All information requested on the Public Art Donation Form needs to be completed and returned to the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office.
  
  
• The request will be routed to the following City departments and other appropriate boards/commissions for their review and comments—Planning, Public Works (Engineering), Risk Management, and Human Resources/ADA.
  
  
• The Park System Planning and Development Committee will review the request based on comments from Park Staff and other City departments and forward comments to the Visual Arts Commission.
  
  
• The Visual Arts Commission may establish a Jury Panel to review and submit a recommendation back to the Visual Arts Commission for their review and recommendation to be forwarded to the Parks and Recreation Board.
  
  
• The Parks and Recreation Board will make a recommendation for approval or denial of the request.
  
  
• The Director of Parks and Recreation will submit the recommendation to the Planning MOU for presentation to the Mayor and City Council for their consideration.
  
  
• Notification of the final action taken by the City Council will be issued to the VAC, Parks and Recreation MOU, and applicant in writing by Planning MOU staff.
