PUBLIC NOTICE

This notice provides the public an opportunity to examine and comment on the proposed Amendment #2 to the 2007 Action Plan for the City of Sioux Falls for a period of 30 days.

The Action Plan is part of the Consolidated Plan for the City and identifies specific activities to be undertaken with the use of federal funding from both the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) program. Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed amendment should do so in writing and send the same to Community Development, 235 W. 10th St., P.O. Box 7402, Sioux Falls, SD 57117-7402. Written comments must include the name and address of the person submitting the comment. The comment period will end December 10, 2007.

Project 501-701. An additional $100,000 of CDBG funding is allocated to Habitat for Humanity for acquisition of land on which new houses will be constructed or to which existing houses are relocated and rehabilitated. Completed homes will be sold to households with incomes below 50 percent of the median family income for Sioux Falls. The revised total CDBG allocation is $180,000.

Funding for this amendment will be obtained by allocating $60,000 of program income in excess of the amount budgeted and reallocating $40,000 from the Neighborhood Revitalization: Rehab/Resale program.
