On Saturday, April 26, officers of the Sioux Falls Police Department conducted a Saturation Patrol.

The saturation started late Saturday afternoon with emphasis on speed and seat belt enforcement. We continued into the overnight hours specifically looking for the impaired driver. The following numbers reflect some of our enforcement results:

• Total Citations Issued – 157;
• DWI Arrests – 13;
• Suspended/Revoked Driver Citations – 4;
• Speeding Citations – 65;
• Seat Belt Citations – 29;
• Other Alcohol Violations – 4;
• Warrants Served – 1;
• and Narcotic Arrests – 1.

The Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to work speed, seat belt, and DWI in the near future.
