The 49th Street bridge over I-29 will be closed to traffic for most of the month of May as crews work on the structure.
The bridge will close May 5, 2008 to allow crews to conduct abutment and approach slab repairs. Motorists will need to use alternate routes. Construction is expected to be completed by May 30.
The prime contractor for the project is Sioux Falls Construction Company of Sioux Falls.
