At approximately 5:00pm on August 23rd Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a house fire at 610 S. Grange Ave. A neighbor reported smoke coming from the chimney. SFFR arrived on scene and found heavy smoke coming from the basement of the structure. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes. The residents were not home at the time of the fire. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. SFFR responded with 7 fire trucks, 2 support vehicles, and 30 firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
