On January 22, 2008, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 819 North Scotland Place.
First arriving units reported smoke on approach. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in the bathroom of the structure. The fire damage was contained to the bathroom and bedroom. There was smoke damage throughout the house. The resident and her dog were out of the structure when Sioux Falls Fire Rescue arrived; she was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Three fire trucks and three support vehicles along with 18 firefighters responded to the fire. The Red Cross was also on scene to support firefighters. |
