Beginning Wednesday, July 9, 2008, construction crews will begin work on Phillips Avenue from 14th Street to 26th Street. Privately contracted work will include sanitary sewer and water main repairs and will be followed by asphalt street overlay work to be performed by City crews later this summer.

Phillips Avenue will be closed to through traffic and will be detoured to Second Avenue. Access to local residences will be maintained.

The sewer and water repairs are expected to be completed by July 31, 2008. The prime contractor for the sewer and water project is First Rate Excavate Inc. of Sioux Falls, SD.
