| Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a house fire at 901 W. 26th St. at 2:42 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008. The fire was reported by several young adults who noticed the fire through the window. Firefighters arriving on scene reported light smoke from the home. The first arriving Engine Company made entry into the home and found a fire in the living room of the home. The fire was quickly extinguished and a search of the home was conducted. The search revealed no one was in the home. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 6 fire trucks and 18 fire fighters. The home received heavy heat and smoke damage on the main level. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Inspector, John Wagner, is investigating the cause. |
