Title: Yankton Trail Park and Harmodon Park Light Burn-In

The sports field lighting systems at Yankton Trail Park and Harmodon Park have been installed and are ready for testing. To determine if the proper lighting levels have been achieved, the lights must be illuminated continuously for 100 hours per the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Prior to the 100 hours of continuous illumination, the lights do not provide a con-sistent light level and cannot be properly tested. The 100-hour lighting period will start Monday, August 4, 2008, and conclude on Friday, August 8, at both sports complexes.

The multiphase project at Yankton Trail Park is complete and the new fields will be ready for play in 2009. The project added five new soccer fields to the complex, additional parking, a restroom, and lighting for two of the fields.

The Harmodon Park softball complex project is ongoing and expected to be complete by September 1, 2008. The new eight-field softball complex will be ready for play in 2009.
