The City of Sioux Falls will be closing Western Avenue from Madison to Russell Street due to the Sanford Festival at Howard Wood Field this Saturday.

Access to Western Avenue from Lyndale Avenue, Holly Avenue, and Rice Street will also be blocked. The hours of the closure will be from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday, June 7, 2008.

Drivers not involved in Sanford Festival activities are asked to use alternate routes. For those attending the Sanford Festival, the easiest way to get to the event is to use the shuttle buses—parking near Howard Wood Field is limited. Offsite parking is available at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds, Southeast Technical Institute, and LodgeNet. Shuttle buses will cycle through approximately every 30 minutes.
