Sioux Falls Fire Rescue (SFFR) responded to a house fire at 306 S. Duluth Avenue at 04:00 a.m. on March 16, 2008. When fire units arrived on-scene heavy smoke was coming from the second floor. The fire was under control within 35 minutes. All tenants were able to exit the building without injury. SFFR fought this fire with 5 engine companies, 1 command vehicle and two support vehicles staffed by 23 firefighters.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Fire Prevention Bureau will release additional information as warranted.
