The public will have an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates seeking seats on the City Council and to find out more about the 10 proposed Charter revision amendments during two public forums, being held Tuesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 27th, at the City Council Chambers in the Carnegie Town Hall, 235 W. Tenth St.

The League of Women Voters, the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Sioux Falls, are sponsoring the forums, which will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

The League of Women Voters will moderate the forum. The City Clerk’s Office staff will monitor the telephones and will take questions, which will be forwarded to the League’s question sorters.

Absentee voting begins on March 27, 2008, at the Auditor’s Office, in the Minnehaha County Administration Building, 415 N. Dakota Ave.

The Sioux Falls Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
