Due to an overwhelming number of applications, Mayor Dave Munson has decided to take an additional week to review potential events center task force members. He hopes to announce the task force by May 9.

“I was very pleasantly surprised by the interest in this task force,” Munson said. “We’ve received applications from residents who represent a wide range of viewpoints and experiences and it’s been rewarding just learning more about the citizens who want to be involved in this project. I want to find ways to involve as many of them as possible.”

The Mayor’s Office received about 130 applications.
