Sioux Falls Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire at Splash City located at 1201 West 41st Street around 6:40 p.m.. The report was of a smoke smell in the building. When SFFR units arrived on scene, they found a light haze and smoke smell. A smoldering fire was found in the attic area of the business. The fire was extinguished and the smoldering insulation was removed from the attic. The building received some light drywall damage in the fire area. There were 4 Engine and Truck companies on scene, three support vehicles, and 19 personnel. There was no report of injuries. The cause of the fire was determined to be from electrical wiring.
