Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation pools are set to open for the season on Friday, May 23, 2008.

Open swim hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. daily. Family swim will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. each day. During family swim, youth under 18 are allowed only if accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

Children ages 6 and younger must be supervised by someone at least 16 years old. The ratio of children 6 years and under may not exceed five children per adult.

Wading pools will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. daily through pool season. Children ages 15 and younger must be supervised by someone at least 16 years old. The ratio of children 15 years and younger may not exceed five children per adult.

Season swim passes are now being sold at all five Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Community Centers. Season swim passes will also be sold at each pool location once the pools open with the exception of McKennan Wading Pool.

• Drake Springs Pool - 330 South Fairfax Avenue
• Frank Olson Pool - 4101 East 16th Street
• Kuehn Park Pool - 2309 Kuehn Park Road
• Spellerberg Park Pool - 1601 South Western Avenue
• McKennan Wading Pool - 1500 South Third Avenue
