On May 13, 2008 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue (SFFR) responded to a structure fire at 309 E. Sunnybrook Drive.

First arriving units reported smoke on approach. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to the garage; however, the rest of the structure suffered light smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. One firefighter was treated and released for a minor injury. Four fire trucks and two support vehicles along with 18 firefighters responded to the call.

The Red Cross was on scene to assist the firefighters and residents.
