At around 11:42 p.m. on May 17, 2008, Sioux Falls Police, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, and Rural Metro Ambulance responded to the 4500 West 12th Street for a motorcycle crash.
Upon arrival, a 30-year-old male, Sioux Falls resident, was found with head injuries. He was immediately transported by ambulance to Sanford Health. In examining the scene and speaking to witnesses, it was determined that the individual was westbound on 12th Street just west of the I-29 overpass when he lost control of a 2003 Yamaha YZF 600R motorcycle. After being checked by medical personnel, it was determined that his injuries were non-life-threatening. The subject was not wearing a helmet and speed appears to have been a factor. Alcohol does not appear to be involved. |
