On May 25, 2008, the Sioux Falls Police Department began an investigation into an individual who was suspected of molesting two children, ages three and four.

At approximately 6 p.m. on May 27, 2008, detectives arrested an individual regarding these child molestations. The individual arrested was Barry Glenn Thunder, a 38-year-old male, of 3520 North Eighth Avenue, Sioux Falls.

Charges include two counts of rape in the first degree, a Class C felony, punishable by up to life in prison; and one count of manufacturing child pornography, a Class 4 felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Barry Thunder was lodged in the Minnehaha County Jail. The investigation is continuing.
