The volunteer citizens group, Sioux Falls Beautiful, will oversee the planting of 35 trees today and tomorrow thanks to a generous donation.

The 2009 Diversified Tree Planting Project will be located at the southwest cloverleaf intersection of I-229 and South Louise Avenue. This project was made possible by a funding gift from Mr. Bruce Eide.

The Diversified Tree Planting Project entails a total of 35 trees (five groupings of seven trees consisting of amur maple, serviceberry, hackberry, oak, and prairie fire crab apple).

Starting today and pending the weather and crew availability, the trees are scheduled to be planted by Foster Landscaping, Inc.
