Title: CIP and Operating Budget Hearings


Budget overviews for Community Development, Planning and Building Services, Sioux FallsTransit, the Sioux Falls Arena and Orpheum Theater, the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science, the Sioux Falls Convention Center and the Parks and Recreation Department will be among those discussed on Monday, August 17, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., during the City Council’s review of Mayor Dave Munson’s 2010 CIP and Operating Budget hearings. The hearings are open to the public and will be held in the City Council Chambers, at 235 W. 10th St.

Presentations will be given by Randy Bartunek, Director of Community Development; Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services; Debra Gaikowski, Transit Planner; Russ DeCurtins, General Manager Sioux Falls Arena; Terry Torkildson, Assistant General Manager of the Sioux Falls Arena; Kelly Zamora, Senior Finance Manager for the Sioux Falls Arena; Gary Wood, President and CEO for the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science; Krista Orsack, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sioux Falls Convention Center; Vicki Jensen, Accounting Manager for the Sioux Falls Convention Center; and Don Kearney, Director of Parks and Recreation.

A public hearing, about the 2010 CIP and Operating Budget, will be held during the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.

The first reading for the appropriations ordinance will be held during the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.

The City Council will take action, to adopt the resolution and the appropriations ordinance, at their 7:00 p.m. meeting on Monday, September 14, 2009.
