Starting Monday, June 29, 2009, Benson Road will be closed from Interstate 29 to Career Avenue for reconstruction.

Roadway work will include removal of existing pavement, grading, paving, and restoration. Utility work will include storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, street lights, and traffic signals.

Phase I work should be completed in late September. Career Avenue will remain open during Phase I work. Benson Road will be closed to traffic west of Interstate 29 to Career Avenue. Traffic will be detoured to 60th Street North. Benson Road will remain open east of Interstate 29.

Runge Enterprises of Sioux Falls is the prime contractor for this project.
