Mayor Munson has selected four recipients to receive a 2009 Mayoral Award for Historic Preservation.
Recipients of the 2009 Mayoral Awards for Historic Preservation include:
- Stacy Newcomb-Weiland – awarded for her unwavering dedication to preservation in Sioux Falls.
- Jesse Casper – awarded for his recent exterior renovation of property at 707 South Lake Avenue.
- Museum of Visual Materials – awarded for the restoration and reuse of the former Consolidated Tank Line building at 500 North Main Avenue.
- Kris Gagnon – awarded for his ongoing preservation and beautification of the former South Side Fire Station located at 1324 South Minnesota Avenue.
The Mayoral Awards for Historic Preservation are given annually to individuals, organizations, and projects that demonstrate a strong commitment to historic preservation in Sioux Falls.
