On October 6, 2009, the Sioux Falls Police conducted a compliance check of 25 off-sale alcohol establishments within the Sioux Falls city limits. Of the 25 establishments, none made a sale to a person under the age of 21.

Businesses making sales to underage persons may face fines, suspensions, or loss of their liquor or malt licenses.

In an effort to protect the young people of our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to do random alcohol compliance checks of all on-sale and off-sale alcohol establishments within the city limits.
