Beginning on Thursday, October 15, 2009, construction crews will begin work on Blaine Avenue between Prospect Street and 18th Street. Work will include pavement removal, storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter, and asphalt paving.

This stretch of Blaine Avenue will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project. Motorists should use Cleveland Avenue as a detour route.

Blaine Avenue is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of October 2009.

The prime contractor for this project is Soukup Construction, Inc. of Sioux Falls.
