On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, officers responded to 1821 West 12th Street, the Paradise Casino, to investigate a possible robbery that had just occurred.

A white male entered the casino and demanded money from the clerk.

An initial description of the suspect was given to officers who observed a subject in an older Cadillac who matched the description of the robber. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect who then accelerated, driving through several turns and corners, before stopping behind the address of 1715 West 19th street.

The suspect, Steven Dwayne Fisher, DOB: 11-22-1979, was stopped by officers, identified by the clerk, and placed under arrest for robbery, DWI, kidnapping, and simple assault.

The clerk received some small bruises on her arm. No one else was injured.

The vehicle was towed and detectives are investigating further.
