On September 26, 2009, at 1:37 a.m., Sioux Falls Police units were dispatched to 3600 West 41st Street, VIP Casino, for an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Responding officers were advised that an approximately 20-30-year-old light-skinned male had entered the rear of the casino, brandished a large knife at the employee, and demanded money.

The male was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, wearing dark bandanna over his face, and sunglasses. The male left out the rear door with an undetermined amount of money and fled to the west in a mid-80s larger light colored car. No injuries reported. As of this time, the suspect has not been identified.
