Beginning on Monday, August 16, 2010, work will begin on Minnesota Avenue from Russell Street to 18th Street. The project includes concrete pavement repairs and an asphalt overlay of Minnesota Avenue.

North and southbound traffic will be maintained; however, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Minor intersections will be closed to cross-traffic periodically as the work progresses.

Major intersections will be closed during evenings or weekends. Traffic delays are to be expected.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction areas and may wish to consider alternate routes. The work is anticipated to be completed in mid-October.

The prime contractor for the project is Asphalt Surfacing Company of Sioux Falls, SD.
