Beginning on Monday, August 16, 2010, construction crews will begin work on Russell Street between the Big Sioux River bridge and Minnesota Avenue. Work will include pavement repair and an asphalt overlay on the existing concrete surface.

This work will be done in multiple phases which will include lane and intersection closures. Left turns will be prohibited periodically during construction.

The first phase of the project will reduce westbound traffic to one lane from Minnesota Avenue to the Big Sioux River bridge. Traffic delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The prime contractor for this project is Seal Pros, Inc. of Harrisburg, SD.
