Beginning on Monday, August 23, 2010, River Boulevard, between Cliff Avenue and Southeastern Avenue, will be closed to all traffic to allow the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad to perform railroad crossing improvements near the intersection of 18th Street and Southeastern Avenue.

River Boulevard is expected to reopen to one lane of traffic in each direction on Monday, August 30, 2010, weather permitting. There will not be a signed detour route established for this closure. Motorists should use Tenth Street, 12th Street, or 26th Street as an alternate route.

The overall completion date for the project is October 29, 2010.

The prime contractor for this project is T & R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls.
