On Saturday morning, August 21, 2010, at 2:52 a.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 2013 East 31st Street North, at 2:52 a.m.

Our reports on arrival indicated a resident was unaccounted for. Heavy fire was exiting out of the front and roof areas of the home on arrival. Crews on scene quickly conducted a search of the home and found no occupants.

Due to the roof area collapsing after a short time of interior work, crews exited the home and extinguished the fire from a safe position. The fire caused severe damage to the home and the home is not livable. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with four fire trucks, three support vehicles, and 18 firefighters.

No firefighter or civilian injuries reported. The fire cause is under investigation.
