Title: Animal Control Seeking Dog Involved in Biting

The Sioux Falls Police Department’s Animal Control Division would like the public’s help in locating a dog involved in a biting.

On August 25, 2010, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a 34-year-old female, who was riding her bike, was bitten by a dog near 57th Street and Marion Road. The dog, described as a grey Weimaraner, was being walked on a leash by a white female, in her mid 20s to lower 30s, blonde curly hair pulled back in a pony tail, wearing blue shorts and a tank top on the south side of 57th Street and Marion Road. As the victim rode past the two, the dog bit the victim.

We need to identify the Weimaraner in this incident to verify its vaccinations. If you have any information on this case, please call Animal Control at 367-7000.
