Beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010, traffic on Minnesota Avenue from Second Street to Tenth Street will be switched from the west half of the street onto the newly paved east half. Northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

The west leg of the following intersections on Minnesota Avenue will also be closed: Third Street, Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Seventh Street, and Ninth Street. Temporary day closures are scheduled for the week of August 29 at Sixth Street and Eighth Street.

The lane closures on Tenth Street will remain in place. Traffic delays are to be expected. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction areas and may wish to consider alternate routes.

Project completion is scheduled for mid-October.

The prime contractor for the project is Asphalt Surfacing Company of Sioux Falls.
