Beginning on Monday, August 30, 2010, various intersections will be closed on Russell Street for pavement rehabilitation.

On Monday evening, August 30, 2010, the intersections of Kiwanis Avenue and Western Avenue on Russell Street will be closed. Russell Street will be detoured and the detour route for this phase of construction will utilize North Louise Avenue, West Madison Street, and North West Avenue.

On Tuesday, August 31, 2010, the intersections of West Avenue and Prairie Avenue on Russell Street will be closed. Russell Street will be detoured and the detour route for this phase of construction will utilize North Minnesota Avenue, West Algonquin Street, North Industrial Avenue, and West Russell Street Frontage Road.

Work will include pavement repair and an asphalt overlay on the existing concrete surface.

Each intersection will be closed after 6 p.m. on the dates listed above and will reopen prior to 6 a.m. the following morning. Traffic delays are expected in this area and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The prime contractor for this project is Seal Pros, Inc. of Harrisburg, SD.
