Members of the Sioux Falls Police Traffic Section and School Resource Officers took part in operations from August 23 to August 27 to raise awareness about safety in school zones.

During the week of August 23 to August 27, these officers issued 477 citations for violations including:

• 133 Speeding in School Zone
• 220 Speeding
• 56 No Insurance
• 42 No Seat Belt
• 14 Suspended or Revoked
• 4 Warrants
• 1 DWI
