The City of Sioux Falls Public Works department announced one of the biggest construction seasons ever for the City of Sioux Falls today. The City is committing $33 million to address 1,200 city blocks.
Significant road reconstructions include 8th Street from Main Ave. east to the Big Sioux River Bridge, and River Blvd. from Cliff Ave. to Southeastern Ave.
Bids for work are also coming in below estimates, allowing the City to add more road projects to the 2010 program, which will be an added benefit to streets following an abnormally harsh winter.
Projects planned include the intersection of 10th St. and Cliff Ave. and Minnesota Ave. from 8th St. south to 18th St. The City will make project updates available on its website and through Facebook and Twitter.
