Beginning today, Wednesday, March 10, 2010, Powder House Road will be closed between Arrowhead Parkway and Madison Street.

Local traffic will still be able to use Powder House Road to access driveways.

The gravel road surface has deteriorated to a point where traffic needs to be restricted for safety reasons.

During the upcoming construction season, Powder House Road will be rebuilt as a two-lane concrete road with turn lanes. It is expected that Powder House Road will reopen to thru traffic in late fall. Motorists are urged to use Sycamore Avenue and Six Mile Road as alternate routes.
