Shape Sioux Falls is a community-wide visioning initiative to help determine the City’s land use development standards.
The objective is to define the vision for the future development of the City as a part of the planned update of the comprehensive plan. These land use design standards will then be incorporated into the City’s planned update of the zoning ordinance.

Phase 1 – Community-wide Visual Listening Survey
The Visual Listening Survey is one of the tools for all citizens to give feedback on planning and design alternatives and to participate in Shape Sioux Falls. People are invited to select their preferences among a series of images used to illustrate various options for development, infrastructure, streetscape and open space, light standards, screening, landscape features, and other elements which might be found in the future. The value of the survey is in the diversity of opinions and desires expressed by the public which will help develop a shape for Sioux Falls.
